One Way to Make Becoming a Licensed Contractor Easier and More Fun

Let’s face it: Most people don’t think of studying for an exam as something that’s “fun” or “entertaining,” even if the outcome could lead to a new career direction and change their lives forever. Even though we make the process of preparing to become a licensed California contractor as simple and straightforward as we possibly can, it still requires a bit of work and effort.

There is one thing you can do to make it more fun, though: Get a friend, or group of friends, to join you.

It isn’t unusual for students to come to CSLS together. And we think it’s usually a great idea. Here are just a few of the best reasons why:

Having a friend or colleague you know gives you someone to study with. Sometimes, studying a lot of information isn’t so bad when you have another person to quiz you, bring up questions of their own, and bounce ideas off of. Although some students do better studying on their own, working in groups (at least part of the time) is almost always helpful.

Going through our courses with a friend could help you stay motivated and focused. When you have a friend or colleague nearby, you have someone who can remind you of your dream of becoming a licensed California contractor. They can be important for men and women who have trouble staying focused and motivated, or who just want that extra “push” now and again.

Some friends like to compete as they get closer to their licensed California contractor’s exam. A little friendly rivalry never hurts, and seeing which of you can get a higher score on your licensed California contractor’s exam can be just the incentive you need to study a little bit harder. And, it doesn’t really matter what your exact scores are in the end – once you pass, you’ve already won!

Don’t have a friend in the construction industry who can come and study with you? That’s okay – one of the best things about our in-class study options is that you can meet lots of interesting people who are also trying to become licensed contractors and change their lives at the same time. It’s a sure bet you’ll be able to find someone you get along with who can help provide the same benefits.
